Q: Can home security systems be hacked?

A:  When we are talking about getting hacked, it is important to consider a few important things. First is that if your devices are not connected to the internet, then the system can not be hacked. If your device is connected to the internet, then the short answer is yes it 'can' be hacked, however just by setting up a secure password for everything will reduce the chance of getting hacked. Most of the time when you hear say someone that they had a internet device get hacked, unfortunately it was their own fault, lack of strong password, or maybe clicking on a phishing link. Another thing to consider is that it is not easy to hack into a security system without the password, it would be very rare that your security system would be hacked, with a secure password in place.
